Background info: Born and raised in Boston, I’ve been reading comics since I first discovered paper gold with back issues of Strange Tales in my grandparent’s attic.
After studying Mesoamerican archaeology and epigraphy at the University of Massachusetts in Boston and Brandeis University, I’m currently working on short pieces for Incubator Press and a longer, more experimental retelling of the history and mythology of the Maya.
Why did you start writing comics?: Comics offer unique opportunities for story-telling in a variety of genres and tones, as well as a chance to collaborate with artists and other writers. I’ve loved comics for years and enjoyed writing for almost as long, so combining the two really seemed like a good idea at the time.
