The Basics
Incubator Press does not publish stories containing profanity, explicit sex, or nudity. There are countless publishers without our content restrictions and we encourage such stories be submitted to them.
All finished sequential work must be inked, 300 DPI, and in a TIFF file format. We can not accept Jpeg, Gif, or any other format. See Ka-Blam’s technical specs for more details. We do not print work that has not been traditionally or digitally inked.
Stories submitted for podcast / audiobook / paperback anthologies should be 4000 to 6000 words. Please check for grammar and spelling. It’s a great idea to have someone read over it before submitting it to us.
Timelines and deadlines are extremely important to us. We’ll work with you to establish deadlines, but we do ask you to abide by them.

Working Title: “First Jobs”
We Need: Writers and Voice Talent
Writers: Incubator Press is gearing up for a new experiment! We’re looking for introductory stories featuring a character (assassin, merc, vigilante, etc.) in their first job. The first job should go wrong in some extremely meaningful way that allows you to reveal more about your character and the world in which he/she lives. The story should be 4000 to 6000 words and dynamic enough to be a strong podcast episode. Sci-Fi, Supernatural, Cyberpunk, and the like are all welcome. We will select 13 stories.
Email your submissions to comiceditor@gmail.com please send the story as an attachment. Do not paste or type the script into the body of the message. Please attach it. File formats? .doc, .docx, .rtf only please. We have to reformat this one for eBooks, paperback, and as a script for the voice artists.
Voice Talent: You need your own recording gear. Please provide samples of your work and an estimate of how long it will take you to complete a 6000 word job. Most of our work is single-voice, so you’d receive the script and be expected to record the entire piece.
Pitches (Your own idea for a story)
We are not accepting pitches currently. Once our current series nears completion, we’ll open up for submissions.
